Marco has experience for more than 20 years in the real estate sector, with a special focus on the legal advice of real estate transactions. He is regularly advising both national and international real estate transactions in buy- and sell-side situations covering a broad variety of asset classes with a special focus on forward deal transactions and transaction in the residential, the commercial and the hospitality sector.
In addition to the real estate transaction advise a further focus of his practice is the legal advice of project developments and real estate restructuring as well as the commercial tenancy law, in particular the legal advice of commercial tenancy agreement.
Marco is acting for companies, who belong to the real estate sector, real estate funds, project developers, insurances, family offices, asset managers, banks and other financing institutions as well as public authorities. His recent work includes:
- Advising SDK Immobilien GmbH & Co. geschlossene Investmentkommanditgesellschaft on real estate transactions, project developments and commercial tenancy law
- Advising Böblinger Baugesellschaft on real estate transactions, project developments and commercial tenancy law
- Advising a German asset manager on multi-country real estate transactions and real estate financing
- Advising a South-Korean asset manager on real estate transactions in Germany
- Advising a German real estate funds on national and cross-country real estate transactions
- Advising a development company for photovoltaic projects
Marco joined Simmons & Simmons as a partner in the Munich office in July 2023. Prior to joining the firm, he worked for major international law firms in Munich. He read law at the University of Munich and Lausanne and qualified as a German lawyer (Rechtsanwalt) in 2002.
