Led by Jonathan Hammond, Head of Asia for Simmons & Simmons, there are more than 120 people in our Hong Kong team, making it the cornerstone of our China practice and our biggest office in the Asia-Pacific region.

First established in 1979, we’re one of the biggest and best-established international law firms in Hong Kong, offering a full range of legal services, from dispute resolution and corporate and M&A, to employment and financial markets work. We are particularly proud of our leading asset management and investments fund, financial institutions, and technology, media and telecommunications sector work.

As one of China’s two special administrative regions (SARs), Hong Kong operates under a unique set of judicial and legislative rules, which we know inside-out. Our office is also ideally placed to cover cross-border legal matters throughout the region. And we regularly work with colleagues from outside Asia too, giving our Hong Kong team a local, regional and global perspective.

Over the past two years, a cross-border team from our Hong Kong and Singapore offices has been working on a pro bono basis with Justice Without Borders (JWB), a unique organisation that enables migrant workers to seek rightful compensation for exploitation or abuse even after they have returned to their home jurisdictions.
