Peter is a managing associate in our banking and finance department at our Frankfurt office. He advises banks, funds, sponsors and companies on all aspects of structured finance, in particular cash flow based loans. In addition to domestic and foreign syndicated loans, real estate financing, export financing, mezzanine structures and refinancing, he also advises on infrastructure and energy projects. Peter is also an expert in environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues and sustainable finance. Peter is also part of the Energy, Renewables and Infrastructure (ENRI) team of Simmons & Simmons in Germany.
Recent work includes:
- advising Prime Capital AG on mezzanine financing
- advising a German bank on a Spanish wind farm project
- advising a German bank on a French wind farm project
- advising a German listed stock corporation (Aktiengesellschaft) on mezzanine financing of a subsidiary.
Peter studied law at the Justus-Liebig-University in Giessen and completed an English language graduate program with a focus on "The Law and Business in the Czech Republic and Central Europe" at the Charles University in Prague.
Before joining Simmons & Simmons in April 2019, Peter had worked as a lawyer in a major international law firm in the Banking and Finance department with a focus on corporate, venture capital and acquisition financing for more than three years.
