DMA imposes harmonised rules to prevent unfair or unethical behaviour by the major digital platforms that control access to the digital market (gatekeepers). It notably creates rules to foster data sharing between gatekeepers and the businesses users and allow third parties to inter-operate with the gatekeeper’s own services. Thanks to the transparency principle, the DSA gives access to new commercial and technical data, including algorithms for ranking and grading purposes.
