**Jingyuan Shi: TMT Partner, China**
Jingyuan Shi graduated from Fudan University and the London School of Economics. She is a practising solicitor in England and Wales and is qualified in China. Jingyuan is recognised as a Next Generation Lawyer by Legal500 and by Chambers and Partners. Clients commented that she was “very proficient in helping technology companies achieve early stages financing”. Her work encompasses of cross border and domestic investments (including private equity, venture capital and strategic investments), compliance for technology corporations (including data protection and competition) and intellectual property law.

Alexander Brown graduated from Cambridge University and is a practising solicitor in England and Wales. With over 20 years of experience, he is a specialist in data protection and privacy. Alex is recognised by Chambers and Partners and Legal500 as a leading individual in data protection, IT and telecommunications sectors. He advises a number of multi national companies and public sector bodies on a diverse range of data protection issues including GDPR, international transfers of data, data subject access requests and data breach management. Alex is a regular speaker and author of articles on data protection and privacy and is regularly quoted in the press on the topic. Clients commented that he is a “real genius, with practical and helpful suggestions” (Chambers UK, 2013).
[Dr Peter Meyer](/en/people/contacts/p/peter-meyer): Dispute Resolution and Intellectual Property Team Head, Partner, Germany
Dr Peter Meyer graduated from the University of Münster in Germany and the University of Bristol in England. He is qualified to practice in Germany. Peter has specialised in intellectual property law and competition law matters for more than 20 years. He is a member of the AIPPI, GRUR, EPLAW and Studienvereinigung Karetellrecht. His expertise covers all contentious and non-contentious issues of intellectual property and competition law. He advises international companies (with a focus on biotech and pharmaceutical companies) on different aspects of European intellectual property, including litigation, administrative measures, competition law at the interface with IP rights (FRAND) and private enforcement.

Peter graduated from the University of Manchester and the University of London. He is currently a practising solicitor in England and Wales. He has been appointed as a competition specialist by the UK Competition and Markets Authority in 2008. Peter advised multiple multinational companies on investigations arising from the European Commission and the UK Competition and Markets Authority, competition law issues arising from mergers, acquisitions, and structural joint ventures, antitrust agreements, abuse of market positions, antitrust litigation etc. Clients commented that Peter has “ultimate professionalism and a convincing attitude” (Legal500, 2017).

Ian Wood graduated from the Imperial College and City, University of London. He is a practising solicitor in England and Wales and Hong Kong. He advised numerous UK and Hong Kong listed and non-listed companies, on public and private mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations, joint ventures, foreign investments and other corporate and commercial transactions. Building on his experience in advising financial institutions and asset managers on corporate and transactional matters, Ian also advises start-ups and financial institutions on FinTech related issues.

Claudia Yiu graduated from the University of Hong Kong and the University of London. She is a practising solicitor in Hong Kong and England and Wales. Claudia focuses her practice on capital market and corporate finance transactions. Prior to moving to private practice, Claudia has been with the Listing Division of the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, focusing on IPO transactions for many years. She has over 10 years of experience advising on IPOs, compliance and regulatory issues for Hong Kong listed companies.
[Christopher Ma](/en/people/contacts/c/christopher-ma): Capital Markets Consultant, Hong Kong
Christopher Ma graduated from the University of Hong Kong, Manchester Metropolitan University and Tufts University. He is a practising solicitor in Hong Kong. Christopher has over 10 years of experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and other general corporate and commercial matters. He advised numerous Hong Kong and China private and listed companies on Hong Kong mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity transactions, corporate restructuring and reorganisation, corporate governance, regulatory and compliance issues. Together with Claudia, Christopher advised companies on their IPOs, ensuring regulatory and compliance requirements.
