On 22 December 2023, the SFC of Hong Kong published a circular titled “Circular on SFC-authorised funds with exposure to virtual assets”, which allows SFC-authorised funds to invest in spot virtual asset tokens. This update has met with the watershed for the world's largest cryptocurrency and possibly the broader crypto industry. Read more below.
