Barbara Mutsaers is Counsel in the Dispute Resolution practice at Simmons & Simmons and, as Industry Leader HLS Netherlands, leads the Healthcare & Life Sciences sector in Amsterdam. She advises leading companies on complex commercial, regulatory and contentious matters, with particular expertise across healthcare and life sciences, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, food and other consumer products.
She advises clients on strategically important commercial contracts and represents them in complex commercial disputes, including disputes concerning performance, termination and (product) liability. Barbara also advises on business-critical regulatory matters such as market access, product compliance, safety, advertising and claims, recalls and regulatory enforcement, and represents clients in investigations, disputes and proceedings involving authorities including the NVWA, IGJ and Skal.
With over 16 years' experience, Barbara has built a broad commercial contracting, disputes and regulatory practice. Prior to joining Simmons & Simmons, she worked for 16 years at AKD.
