Nicholas is a Managing Associate in the Firm's Singapore Employment practice. He advises on all aspects of the employment relationship, handling both contentious and non-contentious matters. He has represented large multinationals in high-stakes employment litigation and advised on the employment aspects of billion-dollar M&A transactions.
His practice encompasses wrongful dismissal claims, restrictive covenant disputes, compensation and benefits matters, termination strategies, employment contracts, workplace investigations, and discrimination issues. Nicholas is particularly sought after for his expertise at the intersection of employment law and technology, advising clients on data privacy, AI governance, and emerging workplace regulatory compliance.
Nicholas has co-authored the Singapore employment chapters of Lexology: In-Depth and Chambers' Practice Guide (Trends & Developments). He has also been quoted by publications such as International Employment Lawyer on developing employment law issues.
In 2025, Nicholas was recognised as a “Next Generation Partner” and “Recommended Lawyer” by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific (Labour & Employment), as well as a “Rising Star” by asialaw. He was also named one of Singapore’s 30 most influential lawyers under 40 by Singapore Business Review in 2023. In 2022, he was listed among “Tomorrow’s Leaders” by International Employment Lawyer. Nicholas was first recognised as a “Rising Star” by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific (Labour & Employment) in 2020, the youngest of three in that year, and a distinction he maintained through 2024.
Nicholas was called to the Singapore Bar in 2016 and graduated from the National University of Singapore.
Nicholas also assists his church and his estate with legal matters on a pro bono basis.
