Oritsema is a Managing Associate in Simmons & Simmons’ Pensions De-risking team.
Her work spans negotiating and drafting bulk annuity and reinsurance agreements, guiding insurers through residual risks transactions, and advising on developments affecting the pensions risk transfer market. Alongside transactional work, Oritsema also contributes to designing innovative solutions for smaller schemes and tailoring bespoke approaches for more complex high-value transactions.
Oritsema qualified in 2018 into a pensions advisory role, acting for trustees and employers of some of the UK’s largest pension schemes, experience that now underpins her work on residual risks. Since moving into the de-risking space in 2019, Oritsema has advised on a wide range of bulk annuity transactions across the market, working with all major insurers.
