Anita is an Associate in the UK Digital Business Group, specialising in data protection. She advises clients across a wide range of sectors – including finance, insurance, retail and technology – and has extensive experience developing and implementing data and privacy compliance frameworks.
Anita has in house experience at a global institution, having completed a secondment to HSBC’s Data Legal team, where she supported day to day privacy compliance, stakeholder engagement and the practical implementation of GDPR requirements across a complex international organisation. She has also recently provided on-site support to an international asset manager, including developing systems to conduct vendor diligence and risk assessments. These roles have provided valuable insight into developing bespoke, commercial solutions that reflect each client’s regulatory environment and cultural context.
She is an active member of the firm’s Data Protection Cross Border Group, working closely with colleagues and local counsel to coordinate advice across multiple jurisdictions. Anita has also spent time in Simmons’ Dubai office, working closely with the regional team to advise global businesses on privacy requirements across the Middle East.
