Emily is an associate in the Insurance & Construction Group, specialising in construction professional negligence claims.
She has notably contributed to advising on post-Grenfell cladding issues, including involvement in a large multi-party cladding dispute in the Technology and Construction Court.
Beyond construction law, Emily has experience in product liability disputes, encompassing the spectrum of product recall processes—from initial complaint investigations and notifications to trading standards, to coordinating expert evidence collection and pursuing recovery actions. Her expertise also encompasses assisting in coverage disputes, notably participating in the defence of an insurer in the Supreme Court appeal concerning the Financial Conduct Authority's Test Case on Business Interruption insurance in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
