Based in Singapore, PES is a global expert in technical expertise and project execution in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries – operating through entities in Ireland, the UK, Switzerland, Germany, China, Malaysia, India and the USA.
Its acquisition by France-based Efor – a leading life sciences consultancy with 3,200 employees across 17 countries – represents a significant deal in the healthcare and life sciences (HLS) sector.
With PES bringing a strong foundation in Asia, the deal greatly strengthens Efor’s presence in the region – which is rapidly becoming a key global hub for life sciences. The acquisition also further supports Efor’s wider ambition to build a global leader in life sciences consultancy.
The Simmons deal team was made up of a multidisciplinary, cross-border group, coordinated from the firm’s Dublin and Singapore offices – led by Micheál Mulvey, corporate partner and specialist in the HLS sector with support from Jennifer Watters, Ciara Byrne and Amanda Loh.
