EU draft AI Regulation: key points and practical suggestions

In this webinar we focus on the recently published EU draft AI Regulation.

The eagerly-awaited EU draft AI Regulation has now been published, view our quick guide on this here.

In this session lawyers from our AI Group are joined by data scientists Nicholas Bailey and Daisy Mak from Simmons Wavelength to discuss some of the key issues and provide practical suggestions as to what organisations should be doing now to prepare for this regulation.

Whilst the regulation is subject to change before it is finalised, the clear indication from the EU is that organisations will be expected to implement potentially onerous processes and governance around any AI caught by the regulation. This includes requirements around data, record-keeping, technical documentation, transparency and risk management. Organisations will have to start thinking about these issues now.
