Investments in health and technology: selected areas of interest

Digitalisation of health professions

Investment: Single electronic register for health professions

Resources: EUR 335,570. Costs relating to this investment will be covered by the FRR ("Facilité pour la Reprise et la Résilience")

The goal: The aim of this investment is to set up a single electronic register for health professions, collecting all administrative and professional information, in order to better manage and to better monitor health professionals in Luxembourg.

Funding: The implementation of the investment should end in March 2023.

Telemedicine for patients' remote medical monitoring

Investment: Telemedicine for patients' remote medical monitoring

Resources: EUR 829,200. Costs relating to this investment will be covered by the FRR ("Facilité pour la Reprise et la Résilience")

The goal: On the one hand, the adoption of remote monitoring is proving to be an essential tool in the fight against the health crisis by minimising the physical movement of people in order to contain the spread of the disease. On the other hand, the integration of digital solutions responds to the need to alleviate the pressure on the health system by modernising and increasing the efficiency of the current system. Thus, such a digital solution serves to improve the coordination and integration of care to make it safer, more efficient and accessible while supporting the resilience of the sector to current and future challenges

Funding: In March 2020, the Luxembourg Government launched the first telemedicine solution to the health crisis. The Luxembourg  Government plans to switch from the old "Maela" solution to a more modern "IdeoPHM" application in Q1 2022.
