Gugu has experience in the structuring of a wide range of investment funds including private equity funds, healthcare funds and infrastructure funds. Gugu has on-the-ground experience advising clients on the establishment of Africa-focussed and emerging markets funds, as well as investor participation in such funds, having qualified and practiced in South Africa for a number of years.
Gugu has leveraged her experience in the Africa and emerging markets space and now regularly advises asset management and investment fund clients ranging from global asset managers and leading institutional investors in relation to the deployment of capital in investment funds.
Gugu completed a client secondment at a UK pension scheme where she provided legal support to the private equity deal team in relation to investments in private equity funds.
