Decoding DP23/4: Simmons & Simmons & FCA webinar
In this session we discussed DP23/4 and how the FCA is considering stablecoin regulation in the context of UK payment flows
On 6 November 2023, the Financial Conduct Authority released Discussion Paper (DP) 23/4: Regulating cryptoassets Phase 1: Stablecoins with a view to hosting discussions until 6 February 2024.
In this webinar, Simmons & Simmons Partner George Morris and Managing Associate Neelam Hundal discussed DP23/4 and how the FCA is considering stablecoin regulation in the context of UK payment flows. George and Neelam were joined by Jane Moore, the FCA’s Head of Payments & Digital Assets, to provide the FCA's views on its core areas of interest, and to discuss what the FCA is really interested in hearing about from respondents. This is a rare opportunity to hear from the FCA directly on this ongoing discussion process and is not to be missed.
