Simmons & Simmons advises Ripple on EU EMI licence acquisition

Ripple Payments Europe S.A has been authorised by the CSSF and registered on the electric money institutions official list.

International law firm Simmons & Simmons has advised leading financial technology company Ripple on its successful acquisition of an EU Electronic Money Institution License in Luxembourg.

Ripple Payments Europe S.A. has been authorised by financial regulatory authority, the CSSF, and registered on the electronic money institutions official list.

This licence enables Ripple to offer regulated e-money and payment services across the EU/EEA, significantly expanding its ability to serve customers throughout Europe.

The Simmons & Simmons team was led by Partners Cathrine Foldberg Møller (Luxembourg) and George Morris (UK).
