International law firm Simmons & Simmons has advised private equity firm Kester Capital on its investment in Dublin-headquartered Nutritics, a market-leading SaaS platform for food data management.
Nutritics provides the foodservice and hospitality sectors with a platform underpinned by a database of over 1.5 million foods, which offers functionality across allergen tracking, recipe management and menu publishing, and enables customers to ensure compliance with industry regulations, improve food safety and reduce cost.
Kester is a UK leading private equity investor, focused on investing in high-growth and high-potential businesses. Kester’s investment in Nutritics is the first from its latest fund, Kester Capital IV, which closed at its hard cap of £425 million. The investment will accelerate Nutritics’ growth, drive new product development and support expansion into the US market.
The deal follows Kester’s backing of Addresscloud in September 2025, also advised by Simmons.
The Simmons team supporting Kester on the investment was led by corporate partner and private equity specialist Tim Hewens, alongside David Brangam, partner and Head of Corporate in Dublin.
This transaction marks the first platform investment Simmons has advised Kester Capital on in Ireland, reflecting the firm’s strong cross-border capabilities.
Commenting on the deal, Tim Hewens said: “We were delighted to work with Kester again, utilising our cross-border network and private equity expertise to advise them on their investment in Nutritics, which marks an exciting step for both businesses.”
