International law firm Simmons & Simmons is proud to announce that Milan partner Paola Leocani has been recognised once again as one of the ‘Top 50 inspiring women’ in 2024 in the legal sector in Italy.
The accolade, given to Paola by leading Italian legal publication Legalcommunity.it, will be celebrated during a gala evening in Milan on 9 April.
Paola heads the Debt Capital Markets (DCM) group in Simmons’ Milan office. She has over 20 years of experience advising Italian and international clients, corporate, financial institutions and banks, sovereign and supranational entities, on securities transactions and regulatory matters related to debt issuances.
Paola’s inclusion as one of the ‘50 most inspiring women’ this year reflects her work advising leading institutions on their involvement in major transactions and bond issuances, as well as her “commitment to green and social issues”.
The recognition follows multiple major award wins and accolades secured by the Milan DCM head, including being named twice amongst the top 10 innovative individuals in Europe in the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers awards; being named in several previous Legalcommunity.it lists, including its ‘Best 50 lawyers in Italy’, and being named as ‘Capital Markets Lawyer of the Year’ at the TopLegal Awards. She is also ranked in Band 1 by Chambers Global and Europe, and as Hall of Fame by Legal500.
