Simmons & Simmons’ Partner and Legal Operations Director Barbara Hamilton-Bruce has today been included in the Heroes Women Executives Role Model List for the second year running.
Unveiled today, the 2025 Heroes Women Role Model Lists, supported by YouTube, celebrate role models who are driving inclusion for women across business.
Barbara Hamilton-Bruce has spent nearly two decades advancing gender equality and diversity in the legal field. More recently, as International Chair of the firm's employee Gender Balance Network, she has focused on raising menopause awareness, internationalising the network, and aligning it with the firm’s broader DEI strategy.
Barbara's intersectional work and role as a Wellbeing Sponsor have improved understanding of gender issues, contributing to an increase in the representation of women in senior roles at the international partnership.
Beyond Simmons, Barbara has been a Chartered Institute of Legal Executive (CILEX) Apprenticeship Supervisor, guiding apprentices and law students to success and has recently been appointed as a CILEX Champion. She has also been a judge for the National Paralegal Awards for four years, recognising paralegal achievements and promoting diversity in the legal sector.
