Simmons advises Ipsos group on B&A acquisition

International law firm Simmons & Simmons has advised Ipsos on its acquisition of B&A, Ireland’s largest independent market research business.

Ipsos, one of the world's leading market research companies has acquired Behaviour & Attitudes (B&A), the largest independent market research and polling firm in Ireland. Following the acquisition, Ipsos in Ireland and B&A will become a combined organisation, named Ipsos B&A.

Ipsos is listed on Euronext Paris and was founded in France in 1975. It currently operates in 90 counties globally, employing over 20,000 people.

Established in 1985, B&A serves a range of clients across the public and private sectors and is renowned for its expertise in quantitative and qualitative research thanks to significant operations in data production and analysis, notably by leveraging its consumer panels.

The cross-border Simmons & Simmons team was led by Corporate partner David Brangam with assistance from Jennifer Watters and Harry McCarthy in Dublin and Jérôme Patenotte and Savina Jouan in Paris.
