Julian Taylor’s senior partner term extended until 2027

International law firm Simmons & Simmons has announced that Julian Taylor’s term as senior partner has been extended for another two years.

The extension, voted through by the firm's partnership, will mean that Julian will remain in the post until July 2027.

Julian joined Simmons in 1999 and was promoted to partner in 2003, going on to lead the firm's global and UK employment practices from 2016. He was appointed senior partner in July 2021.

Julian's strategic focus will remain on guiding Simmons towards becoming a next-generation law firm, with an emphasis on delivering exceptional client service, embracing the opportunities offered by AI and technology, demonstrating strong leadership, and fostering a culture where the firm's people can thrive.

Commenting on the extension to his term, Julian Taylor said:

"I am really pleased to be continuing in my role for another two years. It's a privilege to hold this position and I'm incredibly grateful to the partnership for their continued trust and support."

“This is an exciting period for Simmons where we can continue to capitalise on the opportunities of a changing legal market. My first priority as senior partner remains the same: ensuring that as a firm, we strive to make a positive impact – for our clients, for our people, and for the world around us.”
